I looked at these options: WD Black SN770 500GB for system drives, Windows programs, etc., and WD Black SN770 2TB for gaming and downloads. The speeds are 5000 MB/s and 4000 MB/s for the 500GB, and 5150 MB/s and 4850 MB/s for the 2TB. I wondered if they’d work together or if the speed difference would cause lag and stutter in games.
There are no problems with varying transfer speeds. The main difference comes when copying files between devices, as the speed depends only on the receiving drive. Most SSDs perform similarly, offering nearly identical performance and quick random access, which is ideal for gaming.
