I experienced a comparable issue where all peripherals stopped working while the PC continued functioning normally. The power button didn't respond, and I couldn't resolve it by checking components or remounting parts. After plugging in an extension cord, the outlet light flickered, prompting me to connect the PC directly to a wall outlet. This resolved the issue permanently, indicating the problem was likely with the extension cord.
