I believe RTX shines most in a car game with all the reflections, while it's less noticeable in games like battlefield V and metro exodus where visuals are poor. Those games don’t really stand out to me (the only difference is my room is 10 C hotter, my PC is louder, and my FPS is lower than my IQ). In a car game, the reflections on the road and car lights would be the best way to showcase it.

The sole creator I would imagine working on this is EA, but I believe they aren't eager to release the upcoming Need For Speed title.

But why? If nVIDIA truly aims to make a big impact, they could better highlight their RTX product by using it in popular car games rather than just standard games with great graphics, similar to how they transformed Minecraft's appearance with the RTX version.

Well seeing as how it works in games supporting it now,
no
thanks. I rather have more FPS then a shiny road. (they already look very nice).
But if there's a RTX 2.0 that actually works, has good frame-rate and more support (for games etc); oh hell yeah it would be absolutely awesome!

It's true that Nvidia still has significant challenges ahead before this concept becomes feasible.

It doesn't make sense why Nvidia focuses on games with strong graphics instead of those that really highlight realistic reflections.

I'm not sure. I never grasped why the first game was an online shooter requiring quick frame rates, but ray tracing involves more than just reflections. I believe a great single-player experience where FPS isn't the only thing that highlights lighting, shadows, and reflections is a much stronger display. For some reason, I don't think high graphics quality is the main aim in a sim racer.

Nvidia isn't responsible for creating the games.
