Compared to the initial e3 showcase, this version feels significantly reduced. The atmosphere doesn’t match the polished demo—it misses the depth and richness present then. Visually, it doesn’t disappoint, but that’s not the main reason I won’t purchase. The bullet sponge system really surprised me, and the marketing claims it’s an MMO, which doesn’t align with my expectations.

This game largely removes the bullet sponge effect thanks to marksman weapons and some critical hits. Even yellow barred foes fall after a few strikes. In hard mode, the mobs reached a level similar to Earl Z Moade by beta completion. I think this trend will continue with the release as well. After two weeks, everyone will have some premium items, and then the focus shifts to more content like destiny mode. I enjoyed the beta, especially the solid cover options and consistent gameplay. I’ll try it again once I can get it for around $30 CAD, but not exceeding that price.

Generally, we should not anticipate results from an E3 showcase or any demo in a regular release.

It's disheartening to see how easily people overlook the deceptive nature of game reveals. Back in 2013, The Division with E3 settings proved challenging, yet a Kepler-based SLI setup managed to succeed. Of course, it was speculation, but given the beta results, it's clear a single Kepler couldn't have handled it, let alone 1080p. With a 980ti GPU achieving only 1080p at 30fps in E3 quality, it should have been available for buyers, even if most couldn't reach playable speeds.

We're unsure if a 980 Ti can only sustain 30 FPS with the E3 version. I'm aiming for 40-50 FPS. Currently, with outdated drivers, my max was around 55 FPS, usually staying near 60 or higher. A well-tuned overclocked 980 Ti with fresh drivers should easily hit about 60 FPS. If not, Polaris is just around the corner.

IT WAS A BETA when I tried the R6 closed beta, then switched to open beta a month later. The open beta displayed much improved graphics and more options, looking significantly better. Let's wait for the official release. Although the division struggled on my system—1440p at 25-30 fps, AA off, medium shadows.

I tried the Beta on ultra and it's clear Ubifuck significantly lowered its quality. Still seems okay. However, the Photorealism is entirely missing. We were again tricked by fake E3 content.

Real time lighting, particle effects and asset limits put a heavy strain on GPU resources. Precise measurement is difficult since key data is inaccessible. Still, we recall it was built for a Kepler arrangement (with multiple cards in SLI configurations) back in 2013. It's believable that the E3 announcement could push a 980ti to 30fps at 1080p. RTGI and secondary reflections alone might demand the same performance as maxing out AA, which often makes games unplayable even at 1080p, let alone higher resolutions. Just as in Witcher 3, the fire effects were scaled back, appearing impressive at launch but only moderately satisfying upon release. I've tested both versions thoroughly; I still find it visually appealing, though it falls short of the E3 hype. The engine remains solid, but showing excessive gameplay footage can mislead potential buyers.

Fortunately I secured the game for free since Newegg is a great company! It has been reduced in quality, but that wouldn’t have prevented me from purchasing it if I hadn’t received a complimentary version. I was expecting it to be very smooth and visually appealing, which is typical for most shooting games. Everyone has their own preferences.
