Your motherboard is outdated, but upgrading to an MSI A320M could improve performance. The audio controller remains the same, so sound quality might not change much. It’s possible the issue lies elsewhere, or the upgrade could still help.

Their appearance varies based on implementation. You can't improve the chips beyond what exists, but poor deployment or excessive noise can make them sound worse than intended and fail to meet specifications. Yes, they may differ significantly. If your old board wasn’t built by humans, there should be no middle ground.
