You're gathering components for a build and found this RAM at a good price. It's a 16GB 3000 DDR4 module with 8GB per stick, priced around $100 AUD. You're considering it for an Intel system but noticed the listing mentions AMD. The Intel version comes with an XMP 2.0 chipset, while the AMD one doesn't specify one. It should work on either platform, though compatibility might vary. Good luck with your build!

It should work without issues, as it's marked for AMD systems since it's confirmed compatible with AMD chips

The 4000 series and the whispers about an XT CPUd expected in 1 to 3 months are still on the horizon.

It's probably just around mid-year next year, right? I've been holding out a long time for the 10th generation intel info, so I'm okay with waiting until July 7 or later to find out what AMD has to offer.

Currently, there are no specific RAM options from AMD or Intel. Either will be compatible.

Late 2020 to mid 2021. Exactly when is up to the crystal ball. Dont expect a ton from the XT CPUs. Looks like an FCLK bump to 2000mhz (you can then run 4000mhz ram at 1:1) and a boost increase. Benchmarks will show what difference that actually makes.

Consider proceeding with the 3700x option next.

It's always good to wait if possible. The B550 will also arrive then.
