You were thinking of launching a music YouTube channel but decided to add an audio visualizer for extra flair. You’re considering using After Effects, which is great—though it does require some setup. Your current machine runs a mid-range AMD laptop with solid specs, but whether it can handle a 720p visualizer depends on the version you choose. After Effects CS3 supports basic audio visualizers, but more advanced features might be limited. If CPU rendering is your priority and you’re okay with longer processing times, it should work. GPU rendering could cause overheating, so stick to CPU if that’s your preference.

You're not familiar with CS3, but switching to the latest version of AE is going to be a real challenge—every keystroke will feel slow, taking about ten seconds per character.
