Hello, I’m working on an HP laptop equipped with a Ryzen 5 3600 and Vega 8 graphics, streaming Xbox Series X via an Elgato capture card. My current setup caps at 720p at 30 fps, which isn’t great. I’m considering upgrading to a desktop for better performance. My aim is to achieve at least 60fps in 1080p while streaming Obs. I’m unsure what to look for and wonder if an i5 with GTX 1650 would work well. The PC market can be confusing—should I choose AMD or Intel? The budget is around $1300. Thanks!

1080p at 60Hz doesn't strain the GPU much. I used to have a GTX 1060 that could handle 1080p @ 60Hz with a 50Mbit bitrate using H.264. The main factor is the codec, preferably one that's GPU-accelerated... Your Vega 8 supports H264, H265, VP8, VP9, and AVC for GPU encoding. Check the help page for details: https://help.elgato.com/hc/en-us/ar...nd...d-Encoding. No idea about its performance, your capture card needs GTX 10xx or better for Windows, or a dedicated GPU (AMD/NVidia) for Mac.
