Solving Overclocking Issues for AMD FX-8320e
Whenever I attempt to push my AMD FX-8320e beyond 3.5GHZ, it either fails to load a boot failure or reports an issue with the PC. Anyone have any insights into what might be causing this? Below are my specifications:
Operating System: Windows 10
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 (Rev6.0)
CPU: AMD FX-8320e
GPU: GeForce GTX 970
RAM: 16 GB (Corsair Vengence)
Cooler: CoolerMaster hyper 212 evo for CPU
Power Supply: Corsair RM750X
BIOS Version: F2 (latest update available)
Temperatures: CPU stays between 30* and 55*C, GPU between 40* and 65*C
Boost settings: All disabled, quiet mode and clean mode turned off.
16 GB RAM (Corsair Vengence)
AMD FX-8320e can handle 1866MHz memory with a single DIMM per channel without requiring overclocking. It has successfully supported 2133MHz memory after overclocking.
Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 is a budget motherboard with a 760 chipset. Memory speeds may not exceed 1600MHz on this platform. It is advised against overclocking. An AMD 900 series chipset would be more suitable for overclocking.
