Hey!
I found out my Minecraft is running at 85-110 FPS on my high-end PC without shaders or mods. I first noticed this while playing with Minecraft 1.16.4. I had 2GB of RAM, so I tried increasing it, but it didn't help. Then I reinstalled Java, but that didn't fix anything either. I have the latest 64-bit Java version installed, yet nothing changed.
Could someone please check this out?
My specs:
CPU: i5-9400F
GPU: XFX RX 580 8GB
RAM: 16GB DDR4 2666Mhz
SSD: 500GB
HDD: 2TB

enter the launcher, then select installations, click 1.16.4 advanced options, adjust -Xmx2G to 16, and I'm still facing the same issue even though I've allocated more RAM. My system specs are: msi armor rx 580, ryzen 5 3600, b450 pro 4, corsair vengeance lpx 16gb 3200mhz, and a 750 watt power supply.

I can't verify my PSU right now, though I suspect it's not the problem since other games work fine.
CPU usage is at 35% – can't check it.
GPU usage is 50% and temperature is 57°C.
RAM is at 63%, but only 2GB is used, which seems unusual.
I'm also unsure how to assess my SSD usage.
