Solving I5 8600-K voltage overclocking
Hello,
I’ve been overclocking my CPU (i5-8600k) following the guide you provided.
The video shows a setup using Asus Prime Z370-A.
Using BIOS and recommended 5GZ voltages, I achieved around 1.290-1.340.
Attempting 5GHz on automatic voltages caused excessive heat.
Within this range I couldn’t maintain a stable overclock, so I lowered it to 4.7GHz and reverted to automatic.
I’m seeking advice on achieving a solid static overclock without more details—please let me know if you need further help.
Is your cooling system sufficient? It's not just about selecting '5 GHz all core' with a few clicks without any drawbacks, like overheating. If your auto voltage setting is too high, you might want to adjust the negative offset in Intel's XTU application... (enables simple use of positive or negative offsets in 0.005 V steps.)
