Hello, I've experienced this issue for three months now. While playing GTA 5 online, I usually maintain around 70-80fps. However, after a while, the game suddenly stutters to just 1-2fps, and when audio plays, it also causes lag on my PC. This problem typically lasts between five to twenty minutes. Some people suggested it might be due to overheating, but temperatures looked normal. I tried changing the thermal paste, but the issue persists. I scanned for viruses and found none. It occurs in other games like Rust as well, but it’s not as severe as with GTA 5, which becomes completely unplayable. It seems more likely a software-related problem rather than my PC failing.

My PC specifications:
- 16GB RAM
- AMD Ryzen 1600x CPU
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX1660 Super GPU
- Windows 10 on SSD

For Gta5, consider using adaptive vsync or application control in the NvidiaCP program list, and make sure Vsync is enabled in the game. The game often struggles with frame rate, especially in menus, and can slow down if Vsync is off.
