Hello, I've been using this graphics card for about a year now and have been running it stock. I'm interested in starting some very basic overclocking. I'm wondering if anyone has this card and can suggest what settings to use on precision x1—like boost clock, memory clock, etc. I'm completely new to this and just want it to be simple, avoiding all the complicated testing. I'm also looking for safe overclocking options so the card lasts longer. Please let me know if any experienced overclockers can help me out!

Gpu overclocking has faced more issues on Nvidia GPUs after the launch of Gpu Boost since the GTX 10 series. Custom configurations often behave unpredictably, making software like Afterburner or Precision unreliable. It's hard to confirm a stable overclock when performance fluctuates—such as seeing frequencies jump during games and then drop back down without consistent results.

Some methods of operating aren't necessarily the most intelligent, but they can be very effective when you're skilled at handling multiple tasks at once. Adjust the power limit to its highest setting. Gradually begin raising the core rate and memory rate. As you reach maximum temperatures, reduce the power limit slowly.

Do you have additional advice on overclocking with precision x1 in an easy way? Or are there any videos you recommend to watch?

Gpu overclocking has faced more issues on Nvidia GPUs after the launch of Gpu Boost since the GTX 10 series. Changing custom settings often leads to unexpected behavior in software such as Afterburner or Precision. It's hard to verify stability when performance fluctuates during games like CSGO, where frequencies jump and drop without warning. Similar instability is seen with Unigine Superposition and 3D Mark runs, and CoD: Warzone. The lack of consistent frequency makes it difficult to confirm a stable overclock.

I completely agree with you Phaaze. On my new USED 2080 ti I can adjust the undervolt limit to around 987v while still seeing 1995mhz in Msi Afterburner, not even reaching the clocks yet. In 3dmark firestrike or timespy it shows boosts to 2040-2050mhz. It’s been a long process of trial and error to get it stable at one setting. Underclocking seems like the better option for the card’s lifespan. Thanks, Phaaze.
