Solved 5800X offering a red CPU color option
I worked through the process from CMS to UEFI, but couldn’t get a boot. Switching to legacy mode fixed it. The red color on the CPU confused me initially, but it’s now gone. Everything seems to work the first time.
Specs: MBO x570s Tomahawk Max (new), Ryzen 7 5800x (new), liquid cooled cooler with RGB (new), 32GB RAM at 3200MHz (new), old GPU 1060 6GB, Corsair RMA850 PSU (old). I’ve upgraded a few components but still face issues.
The CPU EZ color changed unexpectedly. It’s not happening anymore. Nothing functions perfectly on the first try.
Notes: I’m using an 8-pin CPU with 4+4 pins, missing the extra pin for PWM2. I’ve tested everything—power supply, connections, fans, RAM, and even removed the GPU and peripherals. No updates to BIOS were attempted since the board is new and claims compatibility.
