It functions well with that motherboard. M.2 NVMe SSDs rely on the PCIe interface, which this board provides: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards-Compon.../techspec/ The dual PCIe means the drive can only reach up to 2000MB/s, rather than its full capacity of 3400MB/s
