Hey everyone, I reached out to my team today about purchasing a new router. We need to link our Sonos setup—two Play:ONE speakers and a phone for music—and ensure it stays up all the time. We also want customers to connect to Wi-Fi, supporting around 80 users daily, possibly up to 60 at once. The main concern is staying within a budget of roughly 100 EUR. For us, slow internet speeds (around 3 Mbps) are acceptable for basic social apps like Instagram and Snapchat. What matters most is that the Sonos system remains reliable. I’ve looked at several options but am unsure which one fits best. Features like QoS and MU-MIMO are important, though I’m not sure if MU-MIMO is essential since I’m more focused on home networking than business. I appreciate all the advice you’ve shared over the past years—it’s really helped. If you can assist with this choice, it would be a huge help. Here are some routers I found: Netgear R6400, Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 R6800, TP-Link Archer C2300, ASUS RT-AC58U, Linksys EA8300 (tri-band), Netgear Nighthawk R7000, Asus RT-AC68U (no MU-MIMO but good price). Best regards.

Do you own a current router? If yes, I suggest considering a Ubiquiti AP instead.

We already have the modem from our ISP. I thought it would be best to switch things over quickly since it’s no longer working, and I just started my new job.

Check if the modem is a standalone device or part of a bundle. Also, identify the current router being used.

It's a straightforward modem linked directly through the ISP. We don't have a router at this stage. This modem is a Proximus B-box 3V model from Belgium.

Sure, I’ll double-check the available wireless users for The Linksys models.

Sure, just to clarify—what are you asking about the Netgear products?
