I'm new here. My RAM can handle frequencies as high as 2400 MHz... My motherboard supports RAM speeds up to 2133 MHz... Can I increase my RAM speed in BIOS? I tried enabling the x.m.p. profile, which set the frequency to 2133 MHz (which already worked), but if I try a higher value the computer won't start and keeps bringing me back to the BIOS setup. Is there any way to boost my RAM on this motherboard? Thank you.

When reviewing the motherboard specifications:
* Because of Intel chipset restrictions, only DDR4 2400MHz memory is compatible with 7th Generation Intel processors. Any higher-speed modules will operate at their full transfer rate.
** For DDR4 2133MHz and above on 6th Generation Intel processors, maximum speed is achieved with DDR4 2133MHz modules.
The i3 6100 model uses a 6th Generation Intel processor.

Hey there, thanks for asking! So basically, giving your mobo an x.m.p. profile changes some settings, even though you didn't expect it. It's just something you need to adjust if you want certain features to work properly.
