Welcome to the forums! Are you using the newest BIOS versions? Do they operate continuously at these settings? I suggest upgrading to 16 Gbps. It really depends on your laptop motherboards, as only certain SO DIMMs are compatible. Just verify compatibility before proceeding. Also, confirm whether an upgrade is physically possible—sometimes it’s just soldered in. First assess upgrade feasibility, then check DIMM compatibility, and you should be good to go!

The last time I checked, I was on the latest BIOS. And yes, it alternates between just these two frequencies all the time. I opened up my laptop and it does have an expansion slot apart from the soldered ram stick So, how do I make sure which ram is compatible with it?
