Software incompatibility with Radeon.
Software incompatibility with Radeon.
Updated from NVIDIA to Radeon DDU's drivers for AMD. Installed AMD without issues. Occasionally the Radeon settings disappear in the display menu, and when I run the Radeon software it reports incompatibility. This occurs daily. I reinstalled AMD drivers, but later they become incompatible again. After a Windows reinstall and the Windows Update, AMD drivers were reinstalled successfully. Now it works properly. Should I disable Windows from downloading any AMD drivers? I checked the AMD forum about stopping Windows from doing that—it says to set it to NO—but I manually enabled the update check.

Note: It seems unclear which details apply to your issue.
You're using the latest Windows signed drivers, which are generally more stable, though not foolproof. I recommend checking AMD's Auto-detect page first. If that fails, update and select "complete" during installation to replace the old driver. This works well for new cards but may disrupt custom setups on OEM laptops running crossfire (I've dealt with this issue before).
