Hello, I tried a software tool for my company that included a monitoring feature allowing me to view employee activity on their computers and track mouse movements. Are there any security programs like this available? Ideally free, but I’m looking for one that operates without employees knowing. Screenshots during breaks would be helpful if possible. Thanks for your understanding!

Use the built-in Windows Remote Desktop. It wouldn’t affect performance that way

Is this really stealth? They must be aware you're monitoring them when the window appears after checking on them. I'm handling 60 employee computers and wanted to include that information.

Many of my clients rely on ActivTrack. I've only touched it after installing the agent, but the initial three users get free access—it works seamlessly without leaving any trace. It helps track productivity but isn't a live camera feed. For serious data collection, Veratio 360 is the top choice. At $90 per endpoint, it's incredibly powerful. People I deploy it to are often identified within a day.

That’s not the way RDP functions. What are you aiming for? Are you checking them for quality assurance, like in a customer support setting, or are you trying to detect inappropriate behavior? Many staff members with internet access will visit non-work sites, so a clear proxy with reporting might be more effective. This allows you to generate regular reports instead of manually watching users and spending time reviewing long recordings. If needed, tools like SentryPC could cost around $1,000 per year.

I'm just here to keep an eye on what users are doing on their screens while they work. Ideally, Master Software runs on my machine and the employee devices use a tracking app. When I open Master Software, I select the specific computer ID to view their desktop, open windows, and mouse activity. I’m hoping ActivTrak fits this need perfectly—since it’s being expanded to many organizations soon. If you have other similar tools, I’d love to explore them too. Thanks a lot for your fast replies!
