I'm beginning to purchase PC components for my first build. My motherboard, GPU, and RAM all support RGB lighting, while the RGB strips can sync together. However, I’m unsure about my motherboard—I checked the website, and it only lists ASRock Polychrome and Razer Chroma. The reason I’m asking here is that sometimes compatibility isn’t mentioned, especially with programs like MSI Mystic Light. I hope it works with M.S.I.S. Mystic Light since my motherboard is an ASRock Steel Legend.

In the realm of RGB software, no program can manage every detail of RGB hardware. It’s best to get Polychrome tools from your motherboard maker to handle many features, like built-in RGB LEDs. Not all motherboard RGB solutions work well with other brands. Generally, RGB units using standard 4-pin 12VRGB or 3-pin aRGB connected to your board should sync properly, though devices with their own controllers might not.

It's usually wise to adhere to the capabilities of your motherboard instead of relying on add-ons
