Software for Media Center
Software for Media Center
Hello everyone, I'm looking at my HTPC and trying to pick a media center solution. Windows Media Center, iTunes, or another option? I have a large library of digital content—music, movies, TV shows. PCPer mentioned that Windows 10 won't support Windows Media Center, even as an add-on like 8.1. Once 10 is released, I probably upgrade and will need tools to manage and play media. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks ahead!
I can picture among all the windows users, the share that actually uses WMC is quite low. Yet the real figure is likely quite high. This means many people are unaware of the software, and I believe Microsoft might receive some criticism suggesting users would prefer a similar tool.
I've used services such as Plex, Boxee, Media Portal, and iTunes before. What about you?
He has Plex, exchanges films with relatives and acquaintances, though the subscription fees can add up over time, even though everyone enjoys it.
Plex and XBMC are the top choices for you. Choose Plex for streaming everything across multiple devices, or XBMC if you're using just one device.
