You're starting a gaming YouTube channel! For beginners, simple and affordable editing tools work well. Consider using DaVinci Resolve—it's powerful yet free—and try CapCut for quick edits. Both are user-friendly and budget-friendly.

Lightworks works well for those on a tight budget and offers a gentler entry point compared to other tools. Its interface has its own unique learning path, distinct from Premiere and Vegas.

Adobe Premiere is quite affordable and delivers great performance. I’d definitely consider the full Creative Cloud if it were you. You’ll also need Photoshop for your needs.

Blender includes a strong video editing tool that's entirely free. It has a few limitations when it comes to file formats and isn't as fast as a dedicated program, but it's likely the most suitable choice if you don’t want to pay. Consider using Camtasia. It offers a straightforward option with a 30-day test period.

I use AVS Video Editor at http://avs4you.com. It isn't free, but you can pay a yearly fee of $39 or $59 for the unlimited version, and you receive everything included in the package. It's available for download, though it will add a watermark to your work, making a small investment worthwhile. The software is straightforward to learn and offers strong features at an affordable price.
