People commonly use Premiere Pro 9 for video editing, though opinions vary. I’m considering newer options since I recently upgraded my laptop. I don’t need heavy editing, but I do occasional clips for fishing and family moments. For the family videos, I want something easy to transfer to DVDs for sharing. I’m seeking recommendations based on real experiences, especially ones that run smoothly with a 4930k processor and 32GB RAM.

I enjoy my Premiere Pro, but for light editing of family clips I believe Movie Edit Pro could be a more suitable choice - http://www.magix.com/us/movie-edit-pro/
