Software for capturing video recordings
Software for capturing video recordings
Shadowplay or its similar concept was a popular game in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
You'll require distinct audio files. Will you be capturing gameplay or your computer's desktop sound?
To achieve high-quality recordings you'll require significant storage capacity, a reality regardless of the software used.
No extra sound file needed; just play the game directly. @ Hans Christian I have sufficient room, and I can always add more if required.
For minimal performance impact and small file sizes, NVidia Shadowplay is a solid choice. However, the video quality isn't very high and it can occasionally crash. An alternative could be OBS, which offers greater control over encoding settings, though it requires more setup knowledge to configure properly.
It seems shadowplay or AMD's recording tool could work well. Shadowplay also offers a small performance impact.
