Are there any virtual machines available for Mac other than Parallels that you can use to set up OS X 10.5 or earlier? I’m looking to relive the experience of the older Mac OS and play around with them.

When visiting the apple shop, you can purchase ISO cards for earlier versions.

Check eBay, I’ve found some old “used” programs at reasonable prices.

Virtualbox could be a useful option, though its compatibility with virtualized OSX isn't clear.

To explore older Mac OS versions, you should use an emulator that mimics the PPC/68k architecture, rather than x86-based tools. Programs such as SheepShaver, Basilisk II, and vMac can achieve this.
