Explain what you mean by 'wide variety of choises' in a different way, since Windows doesn’t match that idea.

Windows makes it simple to swap out your desktop, available from Windows 3.x onward. You can pick a package manager if you wish (Chocolatey is a solid choice). It doesn’t matter whether you’re targeting developers or gamers—Windows handles that distinction. The only limitation is the init system, which works adequately.

I recall using it before; perhaps for QtPass it could be useful, but it might require a lot of effort to manage. I prefer the separation and smaller size. Still, I understand your perspective. The main question is: how many people are aware of this? What does that imply about windows?

Windows is simple for beginners, yet offers more options for those who want to explore further. This isn't inherently negative about Windows...

I chose Linux because I need Python, npm, and other Linux-only applications. A native Linux command line interface is essential; the Windows subsystem doesn’t suit me well. I find managing admin rights on Windows tricky, often needing third-party tools like IIS for Apache. I’m used to a Linux command-line experience.
