SODIMM or LPDDR4
SODIMM or LPDDR4
I purchased this laptop recently and am eagerly awaiting its delivery. I found it on the site: https://www.cyberpuerta.mx/Computadoras/...-Gris.html. It only comes with 8 GB of RAM, so I’m considering upgrading it to 16 GB. For the specifications, I need a RAM speed of around 3200 MHz and at least 8 GB. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
The easiest approach is to disassemble the laptop, locate the memory module and its matching part number, and then purchase the identical item from Amazon, eBay, Newegg or similar platforms. This ensures a higher chance of success. It may not be the most economical option, but it minimizes the chances of mistakes.
LPDDR4 and SODIMM are not mutually exclusive, a module can be both as one refers to a form factor and the other denotes low power and the generation of RAM. Best option is to either get a model number for the RAM from a program like CPU-Z or take apart the laptop and get the model from the sticker on the RAM module and buy another that matches. As it's a laptop, it's pretty much guaranteed to be SODIMM and specs claim LPDDR4, so all you'd need to confirm is the speed and timings and buy one that matches, ideally the same model.
