SNMP setup problem
SNMP setup problem
Hello everyone, I'm just starting out with networking and ready to learn. I'm trying to track my PC's network usage from another machine using PTRG Network Monitor. My setup involves a Windows 10 Pro PC and a Windows Server 2016 Datacenter monitoring system. So far, I've added a device to connect the PC to the software, but I'm not sure how useful that is. I've tried a sensor that pings my PC for connectivity and an HTTP one, both of which work. However, I wanted a networking sensor and other sensors like CPU usage. I found out it requires SNMP access, but I'm not sure how to enable it. After some research and tutorials, I added the feature, which is available in Windows 10, and it appears in the features list. But I need to turn it on through Control Panel > Programs, and I can't locate it there. When I check services, it shows as running. I've configured it to collect all data types and added my monitoring software's IP address. Still, it doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, 42thgamer
