I recently assembled my first PC in April, equipped with a 3070, Ryzen 5800X, and an MSI Thomahawk X570 motherboard. While visiting friends, my mom misplaced her keys and accidentally left food cooking nearby. The entire house was filled with thick smoke and carbon monoxide, making visibility nearly impossible. I’m seeking guidance on ensuring my PC is safe to start up or how to clean it. I’ve seen suggestions about using compressed air and alcohol, but I want to gather more details before taking action. This incident occurred roughly 4-5 hours ago.
