Here is a screenshot of my speedtest from my Computer http://prntscr.com/klepmp . My phone gets 120 Mbps (Megabits, not megabytes ... I think) download and 12 Mbps Upload I pay around £50 a month to this ISP, is it fast for its price or not? Also why is my phone getting better internet? I don't have a ethernet connected from my internet box all the way to my pc, instead I have a wireless one. as in I have Powerline extender which only requires me to plug it in, connect a short ethernet cable to my pc directly. It says '300 Mbps Wi-fi & 500 Mbps Powerline'
Historically, ISPs prioritize wireless solutions since they are more cost-effective and customers are more inclined to pay higher fees. While connection speed is only part of the picture, fixed-line connections offer much lower latency. In many scenarios, this is true—some ISPs even discontinue their fixed lines entirely.
Sure, I can help with that. Please let me know what you'd like to ask about the technical terms.
Phones often improve in speed, but for gaming the connection quality matters more than raw speed. Ping and lag can still affect performance even with faster internet. If you're not gaming, use your phone's data plan. If you stay with your current ISP plan, that's fine too.
Use a specific router model and check its placement. If there’s old wiring or weak powerline performance, consider upgrading. A decent router costs around $60 in the U.S., which is reasonable for speed.
