We all know how these tech companies earn their living, they release a video card and then it goes obsolete within the same year when they announce a "newer" card before the year ends. So here's a lovely tip, call me a jew if you will, save your fucking money! If you have a 780Ti or a 770 and you want that 980 sooooo bad...wait. Trust me, there will be a newer card that will also be faster than the 980. And then it will keep happening. The 700 series cards will live up to their time just like the 600 series still does. Spending another $400-600 on a card that will give you only 15% (not even) more performance will make you feel like such an idiot when you boot that game up and you get like 5 or 6 more fps than your old card did. Wait until these companies combine and work together (since there is no point in competing when they both make the same fucking thing) or technology advances to the point where buying a new card will be a 90-100% better performance increase. I went from an AMD 5850 to a GTX 780Ti...that's how long I waited because that 5850 was still more than enough for the games I still played.

I invest in looks rather than speed. It's a passion project, and I aim for my computer to resemble a masterpiece.

Alternatively, you could trade in your existing card and buy a new one at a lower price. Plus, you’re not a Jew—there’s a distinction between affordable and foolish, but I’m not sure what the main point of this discussion is. It seems like everyone understands this basic idea.

I allocated about 7.5 out of 10 to the hardware, with the remainder focused on upgrades for appearance.

Clear stance on the matter, focusing on individual efforts rather than full collaboration. Besides, the competition between Radeon and GTX is beneficial for us.

Incorrect. AMD produces leg warmers and heaters. The core on my 290x serves as both B) keeping my legs warm and my room warm.

It’s clear the improvement from 770 to 980 is significantly larger than 15%. The increase should be at least 50% or more.
