I used that setup script after reinstalling Windows to fix Cortana and other issues. It modifies certain settings, which is why the little arrow in the taskbar isn’t showing up anymore. I understand you can adjust it via Taskbar Settings, but it seems the change didn’t take effect. You can check the notification area there—look for the option to select icons.
Disable Settings > Taskbar > Choose icons displayed on taskbar > Show all notifications at once
