So my motherboard's sound card stopped working, should I get a new motherboard now or wait? Upgrading to AM5 would cost more and cut me off from sound, and I can't afford a dedicated sound card since I already have an ATX motherboard. My GPU also blocks the second PCIe 1x slot.

You could simply purchase a USB headset instead. It's likely much more affordable.

Wait for AM5 and create your own audio. Add a YouTube channel and upload gameplay videos so you can share your sound effects with others.
