Slower performance on 5 and 8 threads in Prime95
Attempting to determine the cause of slower performance in prime95 under certain conditions. Everything worked fine during benchmarking until reaching five threads, after which response times dropped sharply. Six and seven threads performed best, but the eighth thread caused the computer to freeze. The ASUS temperature monitor showed the CPU stayed at 55°C and decreased as more threads were added.
