I recently relocated and configured my home office setup. My internet performance appeared sluggish, with upload speeds hovering near 1Mbps. A speed test confirmed this issue. I connected a Wi-Fi extender and router to the same spots, but the problem persisted. When switching to a wired connection on my Windows laptops, there was no speed degradation. I updated my BIOS and turned off all startup programs, yet the issue continued. My system specs are: Windows 10 Home v10.0.19044 Build 19044 ROG STRIX B450-F (BIOS version 4901, latest), AMD Ryzen 5 2600 3400 MHz. I’m unsure what steps to take next.

Is this machine designed for professional use? Do you need to connect through a VPN? Are both the laptop and desktop sharing the same connection? Would it be possible to reset Windows if necessary?

This is a work and personal computer. I'm not using a vpn. I'd have to back up some audio recordings but I can reinstall. I tested the laptop and desktop with the same cable.
