I purchased a custom-built PC, but its download speed lags behind other devices in my home. I attempted to reset the Wi-Fi, updated the software, and even tried installing drivers from a disc. Since I didn’t have a physical drive, I resorted to using a USB and Armoury Crate. It now reports everything is installed and ready. I’m unsure if this is normal or if there’s another issue I’m missing. Anyone have time to help me troubleshoot?

What kind of network adapter are you using? If you're using those cheap USB WiFi adapters, your connection will be slow. I recall having a laptop around eight years ago with roughly 110 MBPS built-in wireless. A random TP-Link USB adapter boosted it to about 30 MBPS—about a quarter of what an older machine could handle. It might also be due to being too far from the router, causing a slower link.

I identified the issue. The intel wireless wifi wasn't installed correctly. I don't know how it happened, but I'm back to normal. I was really worried because I've saved money on this pc for three years. Thanks for your help—I might upgrade my Wi-Fi card soon.
