You're getting a lot of RAM but not enough memory slots on your B650 Strix. Your system is running fast, but you're struggling to access more RAM without hitting the delete key repeatedly.

Excited to discover this discussion thread. Thought it would be a tough challenge figuring out, but the performance improvements are definitely worth the wait. Fingers crossed for a solution soon!

It isn't related to Ryzen or RAM training. The issue lies with the memory module itself. By 8:40 you notice MSI experiences very poor startup times. Gigabyte performs well and MSI struggles with booting. I recently installed a Gigabyte DS3H and it launches in seconds—far quicker than the 23 seconds recorded earlier, though I also cleared my W11. My RAM is configured at 6000/CL30, and I believe running it in JEDEC mode (4800/CL40) wouldn't improve performance. This machine boots significantly faster than any of my other systems. I also have a 980 Pro which probably contributes to the improvement of about 1-2 seconds.

May 2nd has seen many users mention slow startup and instability. It's not just a joke anymore. The release was over seven months ago, yet I'm still in beta testing with Lurking. If you believe a 23-second boot for the Gigabyte is great, I disagree. For example, my 5900X boots in 12 seconds from cold start to desktop, and on a 980 Pro as well.

If you're not going 7 series because 23 seconds then how do you wait on game loads? Do you not play any? At some point you need to realize you're being ridiculous. You wait more than 30 seconds for a Starbucks. Btw, there is a bios settings that fixes the boot time.

I am well aware of the MCR option in the BIOS. It doesn't fix the issue, it slightly improves it. Also, 23 seconds is best case scenario for boot, lots of people still having to endure up to 40-50secs. Until AMD gets their head out of their *ss and releases a decent AGESA, you will keep finding people dissatisfied. It's a shame you think it's ridiculous and to a certain degree I can understand where you're coming from. But as I said, I didn't pay out of the *ss for a system that boots twice as slow as my 5900X. Pc parts are expensive as hell and major players like AMD, Intel and so on don't deserve getting away with lousy programming. Btw : I did go 7 series. 7900X, MSI X670E Carbon and DDR5 6000. Expensive as hell. ps : i'll just leave this here, feel free to scroll through Reddit

The x670E Carbon came with a high price tag, especially compared to the 32GB RAM and 7900X. You picked the motherboard yourself, not AMD’s choice. Personally, I think it’s frustrating when you and MSI end up spending a lot. It feels similar to being upset about Aston Martin’s cost—something a Ford would have handled better.

It was true, but the 7900X also had a price tag. You got €620 at the start, which might not seem low. I wouldn’t be upset about the Aston Martin’s cost, but I’d be frustrated if it ended up being overshadowed by that Ford.

You inappropriately mad, I startup my computer every day, 12 - 28 seconds My goodness that's a life style change. That's force you to unable press the button when you want to get anything done sit down immediately get to work, that's a delay worthy of old gen playstation two xbox 360 games, Boot times are important. SmartBoomer is right FACT, All the users of Ryzen 7000 that complain about it are right FACT, You are not a bad Person! I'm just clearly stating it out. SmartBoomer is RIGHT! And you are right that yes 16 seconds is tolerable but just like my friends that block me they ain't gonna tolerate my bad behaviour no more. Apparently ryzen 8500g starts up really fast btw guys. Idk how ryzen 9000 is.
