I recently installed a new fiber connection and upgraded my Wi-Fi card to PCIE. To get the best performance, I purchased an Asus PCE-N15. However, the download speed is extremely slow—only 35 Mbps instead of the expected 190 Mbps. Everything else functions normally; ping remains between 5-7 ms and uploads are correct. I attempted to install the driver from both a CD and the official site, but the process stalls at "Installing EAP-FAST" without progress. I'm using Windows 10 version 1903 with a Ryzen 7 2700X and 36GB of RAM. Someone can help me resolve this issue. Thank you ahead!

You were about to write a lengthy response but found it confusing. Let's clarify the details. - Your internet connection speed is 190 Mbps. - The Asus PCE-N15 supports up to 300 Mbps, so it should work. - How did you test? Have you moved a file to a shared folder on another PC connected to your network? What speed did you achieve? Repeat this process several times to confirm the speed again in megabits.

Thanks for the update! Yes, I received a 200mbs fiber connection (FTTC). The speed tests from OOkla and other providers show much lower results—around 35-40mbs on my PC, 140 on my laptop, and about 50 on my Android tablet. My PC connected via Ethernet reaches 189mbs, which is acceptable. It seems the issue lies with my new Wi-Fi card, causing sluggish performance. The drivers appear to get stuck during EAP-FAST installation. I identified the chip as Realtek RTL8192CE, but using those drivers still results in similar slowdowns.

Seems like I stumbled upon the problem: Antenna issues. In a panic, I connected an old Wi-Fi cable extension and added a larger antenna, which now lets my PC connect at 75 Mbps easily! But I'm still trying to figure out why the drivers won't install. u.u
