Slow internet via mobile hotspot compared to home network
Installed Linux Mint on an additional hard drive on my computer. Everything functions well except for internet performance when using my mobile hotspot. My home Wi-Fi uses a 4G router that’s often slow because of many users and weak signal. To solve this, I’ve turned my phone into a hotspot, which gives me much faster speeds. I’ve been using it for about two years; in Windows it works fine with stable downloads of around 10 Mbps and uploads of 3-5 Mbps. On Linux, speeds are significantly lower—less than 0.5 Mbps in either direction. I updated the network card drivers, and on my 4G Wi-Fi I can reach at least 1-2 Mbps, while without any traffic I get about 5-7 Mbps. As a newcomer to Linux, I’m seeking advice from this community. My wireless adapter is a Broadcom BCM4352 802.11ac adapter (version 03).
The performance improved slightly but remains unsuitable. My home has many gaps for cellular access, so I only get a strong signal when it's far from USB ports.

It might be that your adapter isn't fully compatible with Broadcom on Linux, which is sometimes the case. If possible, move nearer to your device.
