Router is RT-AC1200 I recently upgraded my plan to 200, yet my computer and Wi-Fi only reach 100 Mbps. An ISP representative visited and confirmed everything was fine—his modem provides 200 Mbps, but the router limits it to 100. Are there any settings I should adjust to increase the speed, or is the router malfunctioning?

The specifications mention only 100Mbps ports for LAN and WAN. For higher speeds, a router with gigabit ports is required.

The site mentions a high Wi-Fi speed, but your phone still shows the same result because of other factors affecting your connection.

The router's WAN connection operates at a 100mbit speed.

That seems like an unnecessary addition for the router, so maybe I’ll switch to a new one.

This performance would be best suited for nearby data moves via Wi-Fi, like transferring files between devices connected to the same network.

It would enable your Wi-Fi gadgets to communicate faster, though for the web it feels pretty terrible
