I believe upgrading to a new Wi-Fi connection would help. My current setup uses a 5G router, but I’m using 2.4GHz mesh models which can be unreliable and slow, often capping at around 3 Mbps.

Alright, just skip the info about those big games and focus on the download speeds.

It's really taking a while. It's been downloading for 40-50 minutes and only 18% of the 40GB is available. Steam seems much quicker. I think Epic might have slower servers compared to Steam. I managed to get CS2 (about 40GB) in around 20 minutes.

it's hard to say for sure, but it might be better to wait. your wifi seems fine, you could test with fast.com to check your speed before starting fortnite. just pause the download first.

Fast.com achieved roughly 33 mbps with a speed of 80+ using Steam. Reminder: router restart already attempted.

Use your phone's Wi-Fi connection, and if that functions properly, connect your PC via USB tethering or a mobile hotspot.

Same outcomes appear on my device—it’s an older router, but it’s been working fine for quite some time. It seems Spectrum might be encouraging upgrades since I haven’t faced problems in three to four months.

Your ISP can assist with service issues, but verify this by turning off the modem Wi-Fi and connecting to one device only, with all other applications closed. This ensures a genuine speed test, as other results may not be reliable.
