https://www.theverge.com/2019/12/23/2103...bscription I hear odd things like you can't record some shows & all networks don't have all show. Our ISP has a cap with our plan, hear Spectrum was maybe taking over. No locals kind of suck. So what is a good dvr for that?

I've tried Sling TV and now use Fubo TV. On Sling I wanted specific local stations like Yes Network and Red Zone, which worked well. My package also included crime dramas and cooking shows for my wife. I was very satisfied with both services until Sling lost the rights to Yes Network, so I couldn't watch my Yankees games. After that, I switched to Fubo because it offered the channels I needed and was more affordable. The app sometimes crashes or duplicates channels, making it hard to pause shows without resetting my device. This has occurred about 5-6 times in the past year with Fubo. I suggest Sling if you don’t need local channels, and Fubo if you do.

For residents, a local antenna setup is ideal. TiVo or Plex can handle DVR needs. A Plex server paired with HDHR will utilize your network to broadcast TV across all devices. This method lets me share one antenna among four TVs, resulting in a full-home DVR system.
