SLI temperature concerns
SLI temperature concerns
I'm looking at my current plans to save for a second GTX 1070. I've already decided on the model—Gigabyte Xtreme if they're available, G1 otherwise. My worry is that having two GPUs drawing heat directly into the case could cause the top card to reach very high temperatures. My case is a Cooler Master HAF 932, and the standard 200mm side panel fan is still running at full speed continuously. Would adding a slot fan between the two cards help lower the amount of heat the top card absorbs?
I wouldn't place a fan between the cards. You might disrupt the airflow too much.
With a side fan already, and likely more fans on the case, you should probably be fine.
It would be better to focus on this later after purchasing the other card and checking if it's a problem.

Photonboy would not place a fan between the cards. You might disrupt the airflow too much. With a side fan already, and likely more fans on the case, there should be no problems. *I recommend you think about this after purchasing the other card to check if it's a concern. +1*

I recommend focusing on this later after purchasing the other card to check if it's still a problem.
Thanks for the advice. I hope it resolves within two months.
