It doesn't mean anything else except SLI is gone.

On titles that apply, it performs quite well when referring to something being 'dead'. Many people should recognize the distinction between actual inactivity and limited support that remains feasible with today's hardware, drivers, and operating systems.

It's important to recognize that viewing SLI as a hobby and having sufficient funds doesn't justify misleading others who may not have the same financial situation about entering a technology that's no longer viable. AMD has already discontinued Crossfire, and SLI now offers far less value than it once did. Even with tools like nVidia Inspector, achieving compatibility often results in frustrating difficulties. A system with a locked B365 chipset isn't suited for enthusiasts and shouldn't be considered a worthwhile investment or effort.

SLI works well for those who enjoy experimenting or who already possess a top-tier card but still want extra performance. For instance, with a 2080 Ti running at 4K, boosting speed often requires another card, as even the Titan RTX offers only marginal gains. There are a few specialized scenarios, but they tend to be limited (most users play games that support SLI and already have something like a 1080 Ti).

I believe the confusion comes from misinterpreting my intentions. Browse through numerous discussions on these platforms where users seek guidance on configuring SLI graphics cards, matching motherboards with specific CPUs, and more. It’s clear many participants are sharing their personal experiences rather than offering objective advice. What you’re missing is recognizing that someone asking about SLI setup because they already have a decision in mind isn’t the same as trying to mislead them. Your perspective matters, but so does their right to explore their own options. I stand behind individuals making choices aligned with their priorities, and I hope we can foster mutual respect instead of constantly challenging each other’s assumptions.

It’s not a lot to adjust. For those who just need more. This isn’t the subject you’re looking for. You’re welcome to dive in. Don’t be stuck hearing others repeat themselves.
