When I launch the game through the launcher, ensuring it’s set to 1080p and the windowed box is unchecked, the changes are ignored. Attempting modifications to the SkyrimPrefs.ini file for fullscreen resolution has proven unsuccessful. The game launches in a small, blank window at the top left of the screen with no exit or minimize buttons, and Alt+Enter functionality is unavailable. I am experiencing significant difficulty playing the game and have been troubleshooting for nearly a week. Assistance is greatly appreciated.

Does your monitor support 1080p fullscreen? Check available resolutions in the graphics adapter settings (Nvidia Control Panel/AMD Radeon Settings).

Yes, it does. My rig is fine, i play all games in 1080p fullscreen.
I just have a problem with skyrim for some odd reason.
I tried reinstalling it so many times i can't even count, so perhaps it's something in my computer's settings that's denying the game from going fullscreen (although i checked the firewall, i added the game manually).

Tried, with administrator.
Tried all dpi stuff, disable full screen optimization, compatibility mode, edited skyrimprefs.ini, tried forcing it fullscreen through Nvidia Control Panel, nothing works. It just refuses to go fullscreen no matter what.
