Here’s how this is possible.
I’m using a system with 2 GB RAM, a GTX 980 Ti, 4900 kbps VRAM, and a 500 GB SSD with ample power supply. Despite having a large amount of memory and storage, the performance monitor still shows high VRAM usage around 3k. I’d appreciate any suggestions on how to better track real-time VRAM consumption.

I don’t understand the units Skyrim Perf Monitor uses, so I can’t really say anything—though since it’s a mod, it might just be displaying wrong values.
I’d simply type HWInfo and check GPU memory usage in the GPU section.
