Skyrim modding
You're starting from scratch with Skyrim modding! It's great you're aware of the setup. The path you mentioned looks correct—your game should be installed in your Steam apps folder, not in your system programs folder. Make sure to follow the installation instructions carefully to avoid any issues.
Set up Nexus Mod Manager, then explore Gopher's YouTube channel. He offers the most detailed content on modding, patching, and ENBs. Use the manager, heed his guidance, and respect your PC's capabilities for a great experience. I’m happy to suggest suitable mods if you’re interested.
This suggestion is useful because certain modifications may fail after installation in that location. Open Steam > Settings > Downloads and create another folder (like "Skyrim" on your C: drive). You’ll need to re-download and reinstall the game, but it should be worthwhile in the long run. Make sure to use a mod manager such as Mod Organizer or Nexus Mod Manager—Mod Organizer is my preferred choice.
It feels like starting from scratch again, but I’m really excited! Unfortunately, I won’t accept the offer—I need to pick the mods myself for my sanity. And those tit mods!
NMM works just fine, but I suggest using Mod Organiser once you get comfortable and improve your skills. The S.T.E.P. Guide is perfect for beginners—it covers the essentials and helps you build a solid, efficient setup. Also, LOOT (the updated BOSS version) is essential; it keeps you informed about current mods and ensures you’re up to date. Just double-check compatibility guides for each mod and review any minor issues LOOT might introduce.
Refers to the more complex additions in advanced physics theories.
I use Nexus Mod Manager, SKSE, Loot, and TES5Edit. Around 100 mods are active at once. Many graphics changes affect everything from grass to textures, weather, water, and lightning. I’ve added a new spell system, finisher mods, armor, weapons, plus some female body designs and updated physics for certain parts. A few moderators don’t like the sexy Skyrim content, so I can only share censored images. All mods are available on Nexus. I pick them myself to keep the original feel of Skyrim. If you’re interested, here’s my list. Every mod works well together and has been tested extensively.
