You can achieve quicker download speeds by paying a modest fee. I used a premium account lasting 2 or 4 weeks—great for downloading mods and trying things out. After setting it up, I let the premium lapse. It cost a few dollars, but it was definitely worth it in my opinion.
Modding involves a lot of fixing issues and saving progress! (And avoiding installing too many mods at once). Nexus currently supports only four titles—Fallout: No Vice City, 3, 4, and Skyrim. It’s not like there’s a game for every situation in my view.
It's surprising how limited the options are, especially with such popular titles like Minecraft and Gmod. I'm not familiar with Sonic Generations or GTA V, and I haven't even tried console mods yet. It seems to be a decent collection for a couple of games, but it doesn't cover everything I'd expect.
Here are a few examples from that page:
- GTA Online
- GTA V
- GTA III
- GTA 3D
- Various modded titles
Console games? Not really my interest.
