Hi everyone! I own a PC that should handle Skyrim even on the lowest settings, but I’m still experiencing lag. It’s running an AMD Athlon II P340 Dual Core at 2.40 GHz with an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Series and just 3 GB of RAM. The game automatically sets my settings to medium with 4 AA RAM. I’m not sure why this is happening and really hope someone can assist me! Thanks, Mark. P.S. My drivers are current, I verified that.

It seems like you're wondering if your issue is genuine or just a minor concern. If you're experiencing problems, lowering system settings might help. Let me know how it goes!

It only manages to operate at a minimal level.

What’s your goal with the game? You should aim for a low setting—maybe around 30 or lower. Turn off the audio enhancement and reduce all other effects if needed. If that doesn’t help, consider using the ultra-low mod for Skyrim or the half textures mod. As a final option, simply lower the resolution.
